Explore Sabin's Getting to Zero YouTube series, which features insightful conversations with global immunization leaders on strategies to eliminate preventable diseases. Check out the latest episode, hosted by 2021 Sabin Rising Star Award winner Dr. Nginache Nampota-Nkomba, where he interviews Dr. Shabir Madhi, South African physician, vaccinology professor, and founder of the African Leadership in Vaccinology Expertise (ALIVE) program. Their discussion features Africa’s growing vaccine manufacturing capacity, and Dr. Madhi shares how governments can harness this scientific momentum and strengthen what he calls “a success story in vaccine uptake over the past decade.”

On October 30, Sabin's Boost Community and HPV Initiative in collaboration with UNICEF hosted the first session of our Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine Rollout Dialogue Series. Representatives from UNICEF's Pakistan team opened the dialogue series by sharing their insights on HPV vaccine introduction and updates from the ongoing campaign in Pakistan.

Moreover, country panelists from Pakistan, Nigeria, and Bangladesh highlighted real-world solutions to common challenges around:

  • Engaging and supporting frontline health workers
  • Ensuring equitable access to reach all girls, including those out of school
  • Driving vaccine demand through effective social media strategies
