Dr. Michelle Groome, University of the Witwatersrand Dr. Michelle Groome is a medical doctor and infectious disease epidemiologist. Her main areas of interest include enteric and respiratory diseases, as well as vaccines for the causative pathogens. With more than 20 years' experience in infectious diseases and vaccinology, her work includes conducting clinical vaccine trials, leading respiratory and diarrheal disease surveillance programs, and performing observational studies that assess vaccine impact, effectiveness, immunogenicity, and safety in South Africa. She is currently a Principal Researcher at the University of the Witwatersrand’s Vaccines & Infectious Diseases Analytics Research Unit (Wits VIDA) and holds a joint appointment as a Reader in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Wits, where she lectures and supervises post-graduate students. She has over 100 publications in local and international peer-reviewed journals and has received several awards for her work on rotavirus vaccines.

Dr. Carlos Aranza, Ministry of Health, Mexico Dr. Carlos Aranza is a physician and healthcare leader with a distinguished career in high-level health systems management in Mexico. He has held key leadership positions, including Secretary of Health for Michoacán and Deputy Director of a major national health insurance program. A pediatrician by training, Dr. Aranza holds a doctorate in High-Level Administration. He is renowned for designing the national influenza response protocol and pioneering the first state hospital under a public-private partnership. His work on improving maternal and infant health indicators has been published in international journals, including The Lancet.

Jean Noel Nzamwita, Director, Health & Social Rehabilitation Unit, Rwanda Jean Noel NZAMWITA is the Director of the Health and Social Rehabilitation Unit. His key areas of interest include health education and the promotion of quality health service delivery. He holds a Master of Public Health and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. With over 15 years of experience in the health sector, primarily within hospital settings, Mr. NZAMWITA has led numerous public health initiatives focused on the well-being of children and youth. His work has included managing respiratory and diarrheal disease surveillance programs and conducting observational studies that assess vaccine impact, effectiveness, and immunogenicity. Since 2012, he has overseen the implementation of major vaccination campaigns against Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, COVID-19, and rotavirus. His leadership in both clinical and psychosocial spheres demonstrates a strong commitment to holistic health care and building resilient communities.

Dr. Pritu Dhalaria, Director, Immunization Technical Support Unit, India Dr. Pritu Dhalaria is a public health physician with 30 years of experience in immunization, vaccine access and delivery, vaccine introduction, VPD surveillance, and healthcare technologies. Since 2017, he has served as the Technical Director of Immunization at JSI India, leading the Immunization Technical Support Unit (ITSU) that supports India’s Universal Immunization Program for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. His distinguished career includes leading the WHO Polio Eradication Initiative in Uttar Pradesh (2000–2006) and PATH's Immunization Portfolio (2006–2015). At the Institute for One World Health's Visceral Leishmaniasis Program, he led the introduction of Paromomycin Inj. across India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. A pioneer in introducing the JE vaccine in India, Dr. Dhalaria has supported immunization programs in 16 Asian and Southeast Asian countries. He was a member of India's National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) from 2007–2010 and served as Director for Clinical Services at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) India’s Indo-Africa Initiative from 2015–2016.
