Happy mid-October, all you wonderful BIDA volunteers,

I hope you all are staying warm. I turned my heat on the other day, as my bathrooms were all below 60...

We've got an amazing pair of dances this Sunday, with a potluck in between. The 3-6 pm afternoon dance will be an English Country Dance, sponsored by CDS-Boston Center, celebrating Jane Austen's 250th Birthday, mask optional. Emily O'Brien, Catherine Miller, and Jean Monroe will provide music for Tom Roby's gender-free dances, and Corinne Holroyd will lead a footwork lesson. A BIDA Potluck follows at 6, with our usual lesson at 7, dance starting at 7:30 with Isaac Banner all the way from the West Coast calling to tunes by Eloise & Co (Becky Tracy and Rachel Bell, accompanied by Bethany Waikman on keyboards). This dance is mask-required, and I have a new collection of masks for offering. The day should be splendid all around, and I am very much looking forward to this, and to seeing you all.

That said, we are looking for the following volunteers:
Set-up at 6, for lights and posters and refill the water jugs, 1-2 people,
BIDA early door, 6:15-7:45, 1 person
BIDA early door 6:30-8, 2 people
BIDA late door, 8-9, 1 person

Please let me know which shift you can take, by reply email, or text to my phone listed below. You will get to dance the rest of the evening on us, and also get a ticket for a future dance. Can't wait to dance with you all!

Cheers,

Persis
