Hello all you wonderful BIDA volunteers<
I hope you are all staying warm and safe. I sent the past two weekends as part of the Club Drosselmeyer bartending crew, and have some neat pictures if you want to see our beloved hall dressed up in palm trees and flowered twinkly lights. It was a lot of fun.
We have a dance coming up on Sunday, and because of holiday paid gigs taking precedent for me, I will not be there until about 9, so we'll need some extra help from you all. Steve Zakon-Anderson will be calling both dances, to tunes by the BIDA Open Band, led by Rosemary Powell. Should be a great dance, with potluck in between.
We need the following shifts:
Set-up, 5-when done, 1 additional person,
Early early door, 5:15-6:30, 1 person
Potluck set up, 6:15-done, 1-2 people
Early door, 6:30-8, 2 people,
Late door, 8-9, 1 person.
I will drop off my servingware collection, complete with labeled bag for dirty utensils, a Costco of forks, and water cups, sometime before the dance. Your assistance in making our dances run smoothly and efficiently is invaluable, and we appreciate you in so many ways. You'll dance the rest of the evening on us, and also get a ticket for an additional dance down the road. Please let me know which shift you can fill on Sunday, by reply email, text or voice.
Cheers,
Persis
