Good morning, my wonderful friends,

Our penultimate dance of the 2023-2024 season is coming up on Sunday, 6/16/2024, with a family dance at 5:30 (Jeff Kaufman calling), a potluck at 6:30, our lesson at 7, and our regular dance 7:30-10:30. Sue Rosen will be calling to the tunes of the BIDA Open Band. This will be Mask-Optional for the Family Dance and MASK REQUIRED for the Regular Dance.

We have some new volunteer roles as of this dance; Outside Door Sitting. The Masons have asked us to either keep the doors on either end of the hall closed or have people watching them to make sure people don't come in unseen. If we cannot have door sitters, we'll have to keep the outside doors closed, and it may be hot and stuffy, even with the fans going.

My thoughts about these new roles are that maybe we can take turns sitting out a dance and hanging out at the doors, so we share the job. I don't think we have to be AT the doors all the time, just somewhere we can be watching. And maybe we can alternate open and closed, and see how stuffy it gets. Any one else have ideas? Please share! Let's give it a go for this dance and the next, and see how it works.

So far, we've got the following shifts to fill:
Early Early door, 5:30-6:30 pm; 1 person,
Early door, 6:30-8 pm; 1-2 people,
Late door, 8-9 pm, 1 person,
Side door sitters, 2 people (1 for each door) at all times the doors are open.
5:30-6,
6-6:30,
6:30-7,
7-7:30,
7:30-8,
8-8:30,
8:30-9,
9-9:30,
9:30-10,
10-10:30.

Please let me know by reply email or text, which shift you can take, and dance the rest of the evening on us, as well as a future dance.

Cheers,

Persis
