Hi BIDA Musicians,

This Sunday we have two open bands:

* A casual no-mics open band for the family dance (5:30-6:30)

* A standard mic'd open band for the evening dance (7:30-10:30)

There will be a potluck in between, if you'd like some dinner!

I'll be leading both bands, and for the evening dance Amy Englesberg and Gianna Marzilli Ericson will be anchoring the music.

For the family dance we'll likely play La Bastringue and then a bunch of simpler tunes.  Some likely ones are Mairi's Wedding, Coleman's March, Road to Boston, Angeline the Baker, Liza Jane, Hundred Pipers, and The Wren.  Feel free to make suggestions once we're there!

For the evening dance we'll be using the Open Band Tune List with some changes:

* No Little Liza Jane, My Darling Asleep, Evil Diane, Hundred Pipers, or Brenda Stubbert's

* Adding:

Union Street Session (D) reel
Sarah Armstrong's (D) reel
Shenandoah Falls (A) reel
Star of Munster (Am) reel
Reconciliation (A) reel
Hollow Poplar (G) reel
Rare (D) reel
Arizona (G) reel
Garster's Dream (G) jig
Moon and Seven Stars (D) jig

If you're coming for the evening dance, it's helpful if you can be there early, but we'd rather have you late than not at all. And if you have a pickup or clip on mic, please bring it along!

Jeff
