Double Contra with Maia McCormick and Red Case Band!

Join us for a wonderful day of contra dancing! We will have an experienced contra in the afternoon, followed by a potluck and our regular all levels evening contra dance.

Music: Red Case Band - Max Newman, Stuart Kenney, Clara Stickney, Alex Cumming, and Matt Kenney

Experienced Dance: 4pm

Potluck: 6:30-7:30pm

Lesson: 7pm

Contra Dance: 7:30-10:30pm

What do you mean experienced? Should I come??

For the afternoon advanced session, Maia will call trickier material with less teaching than usual. If you are confident doing a no-walkthrough and know how to get back on track with grace when mistakes happen on the floor you should be good!

BIDA needs new volunteers! If you are interested in being more involved with making BIDA the dance we all love, please reach out to us. 

The dances are both a $5-20 sliding scale, as you're able. Bring someone new to Contra to the intro session and you both get passes for free admission to a future dance! Share the love.

Public Transportation (recommended): We are across the street from the Porter Square Red Line stop.

Parking: Free street parking (meters and residential are open to all on Sundays). The big parking lot has been known to tow.
