Hwy 9 and 9W

I have consistently advised using alternatives to these two highways when traveling the Hudson Valley in NY. They are amongst the most dangerous in NY State.

I agree with you, but what's the question here? Or is this post regarding less traveled alternatives? Do you have specific routes that you recommend? 

Josh in NYC, lifelong 9 and 9W rider, for better, but mostly for worse.
