This Sunday come out and honor Aaron Vitale, one of the original Google Group Riders, back when it was an email thread :-). Aaron was one of the rides who no matter what, how cold or miserable or windy or far, was having a good time. He was always running out of water, but always found it and made it back. Never took bart home!!! I bet we all have stories. I know I have a few. Whoever can, come on out on Sunday:  we will show and go. Depending on the vote we will do the Paradise Loop or the OG Fruit-Stand. Too many stories to tell. Aaron was one tough dude.

Hope to see you there. I will be early and whoever shows, coffee on me.

This is terribly sad. I have many memories of riding with Aaron. Sometimes I'd run into him on an afternoon ride from my office and it would usually turn into a much longer ride than I'd planned and a race back to my office to beat the dark (or in the dark), but it was always fun. I will be out of town on Sunday, so unfortunately will miss the ride, but I will be thinking of Aaron, and will plan to be at his memorial.

Todd - for those who want to make the ride - what time and where should people meet? I will then post it to Slack and other groups.

Howdy, voting is saying we do the old school fruit stand, to the 580 frontage road to the bridge to nowhere and back. Lots of turn backs and shorter options.

I will be at Domino at 745 with leaving at 830.

Will buy u coffee if u want one and are early (745 ish)

Sad and shocking news. Met Aaron through our children who were in the same Grade 1 class. He gave me the 411 re 5:30am Vine Peet’s. Looking forward to tomorrow’s stories. RIP, Aaron 🚴🏻‍♂️

In at Domingo. Very sad to read the news about Aaron's passing. He was one of the first people I rode with in BBC, and definitely one of my first buddies for riding up Diablo. He was a fast, impressive, and terrifying descender!

Agree.  RIP Aaron.  I will not be there tomorrow.  I didn't know Aaron all that well, but he was always so welcoming and happy to be riding on any ride.
I was always amazed by his ability and disposition.
