most bike stories are covered ad infinitum on  facebook and other media.  You.could always join and friend Neil if you want to see all that.

Maggie.must not.check.her FB group posts.  This story was covered in almost every bike related group.

Neil  posts most things covered in multiple other places on a number of other email.groups that I'm.on and are.not pertinent to them either.  So multiplicably  bombarded

I'm in this group for bicycle driving discussions only as all those stories are common everywhere else.

Posts should pertain to the specific purpose of the group.  Not all bike related posts are pertinent to.bicycle driving.  There is just too much stuff and the things we need to see will get ignored in the noise.

For what it's worth, Neal's post was the first I heard about the crash. I was glad to see his follow up post that the perpetrator had been arrested. The dean's excuse that he didn't see him is ...more

The NBC nightly news reported on this tonight.  Unbelievably, they stated that the cyclist was lawfully operating and did not ascribe any fault to the cyclist!  Small victory!

My guess: thank social media.

This story broke on Facebook. The original thread was replete with debate
about the cyclist's positioning with the usual expected anti-cyclist
ignorance but also ...more

Here is one of the posts I made:

BOTTOM LINE: Regardless of where the cyclist in TN was positioned in the
lane, passing motorists had to use at least some of the oncoming lane to
pass.

No need Judy, I'm going to unsubscribe Neal. I've asked him repeatedly to
not send links without context and commentary explaining relevance to this
group repeatedly.

I urge Serge and Judy to not act.  I don't think anyone should be unsubscribed just for posting a link to an article or junk "study" without comment.  Isn't that censorship?  Aren't members of this ...more

My problem is not so much with junk links but the lack of context provided
with the link by the poster. We're all busy. How about taking a minute to
