Google transit now includes driving!

I just asked Google maps for directions from my home on Manhattan's Upper West Side to Wesley Hills, NY. First I asked for bicycle directions, which showed a three hour trip. Then I asked for transit directions which showed a two hour trip, but I noticed what looked like a little CAR icon on the final step. Looking at the detailed directions I saw that the last step was to drive or take a taxi from the train station!

I think this is a great step in the right direction to make transit directions more useful to a greater number of people. I wonder if/when Google is planning on allowing the option of *cycling* to/from the transit stations?
