Bicycle Bell Ensemble Performance in Riverside 11/4

Hello BBE players,

I would like to invite you all to come participate in our biggest
performance of 2010. We have been invited to perform in conjunction
with the UCR Sweeney Gallery's exhibition Re:Cycle - Bike Culture in
Southern California : http://www.sweeney.ucr.edu/exhibitions/recycle/

We will do a workshop / rehearsal / ride / and performance around
Downtown Riverside that will co-inside with the Downtown Riverside Art
Walk.

current planning information (remember if you reply directly to this
email it will go to the entire list).

Here are some of the basics:

For those that would like to join us for our "tour" of the inland
empire we will be leaving LA Union Station on Thursday 11/4 at 2:30pm
sharp via Metrolink and returning Friday 11/5 at about 4:00 pm.
($23.50 RT)

Many of us will be staying the night at the Mariott Hotel very near
the venue.
We are being offered a discount rate of aprox. $70 for a double
occupancy room.

The workshop / rehearsal will be from 6p-8p and the Ride/Performance
will be from 8p-9:30
Our ride will conclude at the Sweeney Gallery / Culver Center for the
Arts for what is expected to be a pretty large audience.

I have spoken to Allen aka User1 and he has notified me that he
intends to do a 55 mile late night gonzo ride back from Riverside to
LA county after the performance. If this is enticing to let me know
and I will put you in touch with him.

You are welcome to make your own travel arrangements. Feel free to be
in touch and I will assist you in any way possible if you are
interested in participating.

Hey Patrick, We're going to have to bail on the ride back to LA on the 4th.  There's a Stop-work meeting in the ports that night and we can't pass up another opportunity to ride around the ports till 3 in the morning another month.  Last month was also a Stop-work meeting, but we were in Riverside.  I'm hoping I can put together a Riverside to LA ride sometime in the spring.  It looks better the more I look at it!
