We have tests that students must take at the end of their course (Resource type Test). We've set the tests to save/submit the answers automatically when a student runs out of time to take the test. All questions are on one page.
I never taught an AP class, mostly because of the workload. Your average AP student is going to turn in every major assignment, and in AP English class, that would mean a ton of essays to grade. I never would have thought that kids would write funny wrong answers on their AP exams, mostly because they pay for those themselves! But apparently, students bomb AP tests and have a great time doing it just like any other school exam. Here are some gems from AP test grades for you to enjoy.

Grade-level sample test books and sample answer keys are revised or reprinted on a rotating basis. Booklets from the 2003-2004 archive are available by clicking on the grade-level booklet title to the right.

These resources support the practice and training tests for the CAASPP and ELPAC. Do not use any of these scoring guides, PFAs, DFAs, or performance task rubrics when administering the summative assessments.
The following are key differences from the operational assessments to consider when using these practice test and training test resources to prepare for the Initial Alternate ELPAC and Summative Alternate ELPAC:
For the Alternate ELPAC, test examiners have the ability to use picture cards during the student's test administration. Picture cards are a resource used for students who communicate using picture cards or an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device. These picture cards should not be substituted during operational test administration. Print or upload the picture cards to the student's AAC device as appropriate. All of the practice test picture cards for each grade level or grade span can be accessed via the following link:
Test examiners have the option to use answer choice cards that are available as a stand-alone PDF. Some students communicate using picture cards or answer choice cards. If test examiners do not have standardized answer choice cards for use in the classroom, they may use the answer choice cards accessed via the following link:
More than 150 teachers and administrators from 44 public schools across Atlanta were caught changing answers on standardized tests used to judge student performance and rank schools, according to a state report.
Eighty-two of the teachers flat-out confessed. The 800-page report said the cheating has been going on for nearly a decade. It first came to light when the state noticed an alarming number of erasure marks on the answer sheets.
Teachers and principals were erasing the wrong answers and filling in the right ones, the report said. At one school, the faculty even held weekend pizza parties to correct answers before turning them in. Over the course of a single year, scores at the school jumped 45 percent.
Fells told ABC News that teachers who refused to cheat were punished and pushed out. She resigned voluntarily in 2008 partly due to the pressure to cheat. The school district said it is now firing all teachers and administrators implicated in the report.
The former superintendent, Beverly Hall, is accused of encouraging the cheating. She received hundreds of thousands of dollars in bonuses tied to improved test scores, improvements that now appear to be bogus. For her supposed achievements, she was named National Superintendent of Year in 2009.
His daughter, Rebecca, is attending the University of Georgia in the fall and the explosive revelations have given her second thoughts about her academic record. She is a product of schools named in the report.
Many in the community are pointing the finger at No Child Left Behind, the federal policy that made test scores king. The program has forced the closure of schools with low scores and generally rewards the schools with high ones.
You can also force a sequence through questions in an assessment with the Prohibit backtracking option. A sequence is important when upcoming questions provide hints or reveal answers to earlier questions. Once students answer the question and continue to the next one, they can't go back.
You must have at least two questions in your assessment and have Display one question at a time turned on. From the Settings panel, go to the Presentation Options section. Select Prohibit backtracking.
Questions appear in order as you create the test. Each time a student begins a test attempt, the questions appear in a different order. If you include references to the question numbers as they appear on the Content and Settings tab, don't use the Randomize questions option. The random order changes the question numbering and may cause confusion.
If your assessment includes questions across multiple pages (for example a page of Multiple Choice questions followed by a page with Essay questions), Randomize pages randomizes the order in which these pages are displayed.
You can choose to post assessment grades automatically when the assignment is graded. The feature includes automatically and manually graded assignments, as well as tests with auto-graded question types. Turn the setting off if you want to manually control grade publication.
Supporting academic integrity and protecting assessment content is important. Go to the Settings panel and scroll to the Assessment results section to choose when you want to release the assessment results. Go to Submission View, then select the default setting of Available after submission to bring up the Assessment results timing panel.
Automated feedback allows you to provide pre-scripted feedback on individual auto-graded question types. Students automatically receive your feedback based on the release settings you provide. By default, automated feedback displays after the student submission.
