UCSB Surplus- Low-Security Bicycle Racks available FREE of charge to area 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profits

Over time we at UCSB have been replacing our older, low-security bicycle racks with  http://peakracks.com  which offer more security and more dense bicycle parking.

 

As a result, we now have surplus low-security bicycle racks that could work for daytime use…These surplus racks are challenging/impossible to lock frame to with a U-Lock (which offers better security) vs. a cable lock.

 

We have a few styles on hand in our surplus collection…

These racks are available FREE of charge to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organizations and for $20 each to for-profit businesses and individuals in Santa Barbara County.

 

The purchaser/recipient gets to arrange for transportation of the rack(s) from UCSB (a pickup truck or minivan (without seats) with some tie down rope/webbing) will suffice.  Lifting/Loading done by purchaser/recipient.

 

Non-profits in Santa Barbara must provide proof of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status along with a letter requesting racks addressed to:
