The Bike Monkeys and the Teen Press are heading to the Big Apple! To present and cover the National Youth Bike Summit, being held at The New School on President’s
Day Weekend.
We need help with a place to stay.
Years ago on our first Teen Press out of state journey to Interbike in Las Vegas, a family had Mandalay connections . . . when we went to see Steve Jobs at MacWorld,
we got a rate across the bay . . . when we reported from President Obama’s historic first inauguration, we stayed in a church in Falls Church . . . when we went to South by Southwest, we stayed with relatives . . . and in Telluride fate squeezed us into our
chaperones condo . . . .
So, before we doing any lodging arrangements, we just wanted to do some community wondering if there might be some New York connections out there. An apartment
. . . some mileage, traveler club miles or hotel connections . . . a penthouse on the park . . . some local suggestions . . . something that might work out for our team of Monkeys and Teen Press chosen to represent SBMS in New York. There are 12 kids and
4-5 mentor/chaperones going. We will need lodging for Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights, Feb. 13/14/15/16. David and I put in strange hours so we’re hoping for some place with internet and a little privacy. The summit is at the New School, located
in the West Village.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
