BICHOLIM: About three families from Bagwada Pilgao in Bicholim who were stranded due to heavy rain were rescued late at night by the fire force under the supervision of the Bicholim mamletdar, Pravinjay Pandit. 

As per the available information the mamletdar authorities received information at around 10pm that some families were stranded and had lost contact with the village due to heavy rain. 

After receiving the information the Bicholim mamletdar, Pravinjay Pandit went to the site and also directed the fire force to take immediate measures to rescue the family members. 

The fire force, with the help of boat went to the families and rescued 10 family members to safety. It was told that they would be shifted to nearby house at Pilgao for next two days till the water receeds.
