When ever I turn on my pc or walk away from my pc and let it idle for awhile the wall paper changes to some default wallpaper that wallpaper engine uses like a default razer wallpaper or some other random default wallpaper.

This problem just started around 5 days ago or so and I haven't changed any settings in my wallpaper engine. It started when I was looking for a new wallpaper, found one that I liked and set it as my new wallpaper. The next day when I turned on my pc, it was no longer the new wallpaper I set the night before it was a different default wallpaper.

Hey guys i made this cool video which got a lot of attention on youtube, i thought more people would like it and maybe find some useful wallpapers there, thats why im sharing it with you. LET ME KNOW IF YOU LIKE IT! :D

I had a pc first which had wallpaper engine and had a large Hard drive on it to hold a lot of wallpapers. Probably over 200gb's. Now I've purchased a laptop and when I was installing wallpaper engine it was also installing all of my wallpapers. Is it possible to have this not happen when I download it and instead have a separate folder for my laptop?

Hey, I've just bought an LG C2 42 as my main monitor for WFH and gaming mainly. I'm aware about potential burn in issues, and was wondering if a playlist of wallpapers in Wallpaper Engine would protect my TV from burn in instead of a (sad!) void black screen.

Does it have a feature where I can cycle through different sets/folders of images for my wallpaper e.g. it changes between set 1 then 2 then 3 every few minutes but every time it chooses a random one from the set it is currently on For example: it picks a random image from set 1, 5 mins later it picks a random image from set 2, 5 mins later it picks a random image from set 3, 5 mins later this all repeats again

...in other words, i do NOT want to display a live wallpaper, but i understand this application's main function is in fact to do just that, to display a live wallpaper, and only utilize the screensaver functionality.

If anyone has a way BESIDES just pausing the live wallpaper, rather, just turning off the wallpaper function, but retaining the screensaver function that would be GRAND! If that is just literally not possible, that is understandable.

I just started using Wallpaper engine yesterday and think it's really neat. However I'm having an issue where my wallpaper will frequently fail to unpause and will remain frozen. It does not crash it just simply doesn't resume like it should. I use Rivatuner but have set the detection level to none. I don't think Rivatuner has anything to do with it because I'm not getting an error message and wallpaper engine is not crashing. I simply have to change to a different wallpaper and then back to the one I was using and it works again. I'm running Windows 11 and I'm only using a single display.

I have just changed the setting so that it won't pause when an application is maximized and I'm going to see if that helps. I noticed that even if my internet browser was maximized that if I clicked on a notification from Windows such as when I received an email the wallpaper would unpause and then pause again even though the browser was maximized the entire time.

hello im a 13 teenager from italy and tech is my passion, as i used windows for 4 years and i switched to ubuntu and arch linux a few months ago i was wondering if there is a way to use wallpaper engine on linux or if there are a some alternatives to wallpaper engine

i installed wallpaper engine to my c-drive a while ago and and created a really big special playlist(700+) among many. i know steam has a feature that allows you to move your install file(app) to another designated folder. i used that for my games and it worked perfectly but when i used it with wallpaper engine it doesnt work. i mean i works except that all my wallpaper got deselected with all settings reset. the playlist are still there except they are now empty.

i checked the config file inside the wallpaper engine folder on my SSD and its still referencing the c-drive for the wallpapers for some reason even though i can visually see that their are no wallpapers at all in my c-drive and that they are all in my SSD.

makes me feel like the playlist system they have is just working based of the local file downloads which means that every time i move steam to a new PC, location or hard drive, i will have to manually recreate all my playlists and will have to re-go through every single one of my downloaded wallpapers 1 by 1 to re-check and re-edit their settings to what they were before. all 900+ of them.

Why does my laptop suddenly do this? It's like it's on battery power but it's not. I've been using wall engine since I bought this pc, so about a month or more, and it never had a problem until now. And it's not just one wallpaper it's all of them, all of my wallpaper is stuttering like crazy. I haven't sailed the seven seas in a while so it can't viruses. I change it to high performance nvidia processor but to no avail. Playing games gets good fps. Everything is up to date from windows update to nvidia driver. The only thing I did was downloaded Metro Exodus and Resident Evil 3 from steam but I can't see how downloading a game could affect it. I'm just so confused. I have an Asus tuf f15 fx506hc if that's somehow any help.

so i have just dowloaded this wallpaper engine and when im trying to use wallpaper it just stays same and doesnt change wallpaper. i have tried to dowload it again but i think that doesnt work any help pls?

EDIT: If I launch through files and use the wallpaper64 executable, it comes up with an error:
Wallpaper Engine crashed in the Windows System
Crash Caused by C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll
Error Code: 0xE06D7363.
When I go to the website help.wallpaper.io/crash that the popup suggests, the error code I have does not appear on there.

When I turn my PC on, it uses the standard Windows background for a solid few minutes, and then my wallpaper from Wallpaper Engine shows up. It's a live wallpaper if that makes any difference. Is there any way to download the wallpaper itself or is there another fix for this?

kinda wondering if any of you guys know of any app (playstore or not) that does what WE does on pc. i already got "Starry sky Video Wallpapers Engine" from playstore. it basically does what WE does for android as live wallpapers but my issue is they dont have alot of wallpapers. they only have a few good stuff. they also dont have the customization features that WE have nor the ability to make your own.

I have two screens and I use Wallpaper Engine on both. Sometimes I have two different wallpapers, sometimes I have the same or a stretched one. Every damn time I wake up my computer, I'm greeted with a lovely error message that says "Wallpaper Engine has crashed" and I have to restart it. I am curious to know why this is happening and possibly how to fix it. I have already tried using the 64-bit version, didn't help much

Hi, I'm using the wallpaper engine for some time, and I like audio-responsive wallpapers. However, after the update, the wallpaper is not responsive to audio anymore. I looked for some posts on how to fix it and found out that by using a microphone, the wallpaper is responsive, but not to the speakers. Any idea on how to fix this? I want the wallpaper to be responsive to the speaker.

So one of the things I like about Wallpaper Engine (PC) is that whenever you close or shut off the engine you go back to the desktop wallpaper you were using before you launched it, I have yet to try this feature on mobile because my wallpaper has a photo that's dear to me that I unfortunately do not have in my gallery. Does anyone know if this happens on mobile? Much thanks!

I got Wallpaper Engine a little over a week ago and it works fine up until I turn off my computer. The program is still running fine but my animated wallpapers don't come up at all and it only shows my original wallpaper from Windows. If it matters, I use a wallpaper playlist that changes once every hour. Any solutions?

hi, uhhh...so all my wallpapers were redownloading and it showed that warning thing where it said steam or wallpaper engine saw i had a lot downloading and i decided to go to the help link and did the steps it said which were:

and i did that, reopened steam, launched wallpaper engine and then instead of seeing like my regular 22 pages of wallpapers i only have 2 pages, as im typing this i did uninstall wallpaper engine and am reinstalling it right now and if it works ill remove this post but if now i would appreciate all and any help

I got everything setup with Wallpaper Engine and iCUE, I made sure the software integration is up and made sure that the SDK is enabled in Wallpaper Engine. As soon as I turned on the whole thing, the wallpaper worked and it was awesome! The only problem was it turned all of my RGB lights off, I switched to a different wallpaper with the ones that has "iCue Enabled" and the lights started working again and switched back into another wallpaper and it turned off the lights again, I turned off the SDK and of course it worked again. I'm positive this is a sync issue, I tried looking for answers online but I couldn't really find anything. Looked at the FAQ but couldn't find anything, surely I missed something.

I have a small problem when I start my PC with WE. The "Launch WE at Windows startup" mode works, but it is done two or three seconds after my basic Windows wallpaper has been started and is visible.

I find it very unpleasant to see an old wallpaper and then the WE wallpaper on top. I would like to know if you have any solutions to really lace up WE faster, see if it launches when the PC starts.

I would like to know if you have any solutions to make the WE wallpaper run faster, or if you have any Windows wallpapers that you use so that the transition isn't too awkward (like all black or something).

Sometimes when I alt tab out of games like valorant my PC gets in this state where I can't put in any inputs but everything still runs like game audio, music, and discord calls, and it is only fixed when I force restart. This only started happening around when I started using wallpaper engine. Has anybody else had this issue?
