Hello All!
September is national kinship care month. This is a special opportunity for us to honor and celebrate our kinship caregivers, children, and youth, while also raising awareness to their unique needs and to resources and supports that are available. We have a committee that has been actively working on a plan to celebrate and promote Idaho Kinship Family Day and our annual art and expression series, My Family. My. Story. Idaho Kinship Family Day will be September 10th and we will be having a celebration in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho Falls, and Meridian simultaneously. My Family. My Story. is open to any child or youth who ever has been in or currently is in kinship care, kinship caregivers, and our community partners who work alongside kinship families.
