It is now. See our press release from yesterday:

NPG expands Linked Data Platform to over a quarter billion triples
http://www.nature.com/press_releases/ldp.html

We just put out the complete citation graph for all NPG titles under a CC0 waiver. Available to query through

http://data.nature.com

or for downloading as RDF snapshots. (We need to improve the navigation, but if your go to documentation on the developers site, take the main link at right for Linked Data Platform and see under the head Data Snapshots. We just ask that you register first, but thereafter the data is freely available by individual graph or as a complete distribution.)

All our data including citation data - is being updated in real time on the LDP.

We also include links but, to be clear, this includes only outgoing links from NPG article citations. We are not providing incoming links.

Still, hopefully this is one more step towards an open citation graph.

Tony

Dear Ed,

Don't hold your breath. We will be scoping how to expand the Open Citations Corpus <http://opnecitation.net/> and incorporate references from Nature and other leading subscription-access publishers in the second half of this year, then plan to do so for real in 2013, in collaboration with CrossRef. The reason for this slow start is that we are strapped for cash and developer effort.

Thus if there are developers out there who would like to help us, I would be VERY PLEASED TO HEAR FROM YOU AT ANY TIME, IDEALLY SOON!
