Jesus
was not teaching an “anger management” lesson. He was interpreting a section
of the Torah – The Story of Cain and Abel. This was not “a religious
exercise;” it was a “political/economic process.” In his world, different
interpretations of the Torah and the Prophets competed in the public arena
from which laws emerged that affected the everyday lives of the Jewish people living
