The phrase “Elohim rested,” seems to mean that He is going to “kick back” and watch the war. But in the early 20th century, archaeologists began to translate the writings of the ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, and Persians. This is where the keys to unlock the meaning of “Elohim rested” were found. Elohim clearly did not became a passive bystander.
