2 Peter - Chapter 3
3: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers,
walking after their own lusts,
4: And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of the creation.
5: For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the *word of God
the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in
the water:
6: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water,
perished:
7: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same *word are
kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and
perdition of ungodly men.
---
10: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the
which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements
shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are
therein shall be burned up.
11: Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner
of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12: Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein
the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall
melt with fervent heat?
13: Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and
a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Luke - Chapter 12
39: And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour
the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his
house to be broken through. 40: Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son
of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
42: And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom
his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their
portion of meat in due season? 43: Blessed is that servant, whom his
lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44: Of a truth I say unto you,
that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45: But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his
coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat
and drink, and to be drunken; 46: The lord of that servant will come in
a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware,
and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the
unbelievers.
47: And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not
himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many
stripes. 48: But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of
stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is
given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed
much, of him they will ask the more.
Luke - Chapter 17
26: And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days
of the Son of man.
27: They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in
marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood
came, and destroyed them all.
28: Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they
drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29: But the
same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from
heaven, and destroyed them all. 30: Even thus shall it be in the day
when the Son of man is revealed.
2 Thessalonians - Chapter 2
3: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition;
4: Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or
that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God.
7: For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now
letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.---
Revelation - Chapter 18
4: And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my
people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not
of her plagues. 5: For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath
remembered her iniquities.
7: How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much
torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen,
and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8: Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning,
and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is
the Lord God who judgeth her.
9: And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived
deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they
shall see the smoke of her burning, 10: Standing afar off for the fear
of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that
mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
18: And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city
is like unto this great city!
24: And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of
all that were slain upon the earth.
Revelation - Chapter 17
4: And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked
with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her
hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5: And
upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE
MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
18: And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth
over the kings of the earth.
---2 Thessalonians - Chapter 2
8: And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall
***consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming:
9: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power
and signs and lying wonders, 10: And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love
of the truth, that they might be saved.
11: And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they
should believe a lie: 12: That they all might be damned who believed
not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Isaiah - Chapter 61
8: For I the LORD love judgment, ...
