Hello, I was hoping someone might help me. I've had much difficulty in searching the internet for the .Yes file for the authorized king James 1611 version. If it's not too much to ask, would someone have or know where to download this? Thank you much

Jeff

Hi Jeff

Do you have access to the text in some other format? We could easily package it in a YES for you.

I think this might be somewhat the thing you're looking for:
http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/thebible.htm

Scroll down and you'll see it's got all the books by page, like http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/KJB-PCE-GENESIS.htm

The author of that page seems to indicate there are discrepanices between Cambridge and his own versions thoguh, you might want to check if this web page holds the translation you're looking for.

If Yuku doesn't have a .yes with that version and you don't know how to make one, I could compile one for you. Just drop me a line.

You asked about which formats I had. According to this link you sent me, truly excellent by the way! There appears to be an html and pdf of the "pure Cambridge version" recommended by the author on that site. Is it possible for you to convert one of those types into a .yes fir the quick bible, or do you require another type?

I simply cannot thank you enough for your assistance and willingness to help me. These are extremely rare in this world.
Thank you again!

Best regards
Jeff

OK it's done.
The KJV 1611 PCE edition in YES format is now available on

http://qibicdn.appspot.com/yes/index.php?dl=kjv1611pce.yes

and it's available in EPUB format here: (kjv1611pce-plain.epub)
http://qibicdn.appspot.com/epub/

lastly, the source for building the YES is found here:
http://qibicdn.appspot.com/yet/

(If you're interested in building the YES file from the sources,
there's an explanation here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SGk70g7R3UfN1MTF5jFE9u5bNCY7J9Jeftiq
5RjZA0A/edit#heading=h.mm35sf89afrr
)

I also added it to my repository, so if you install "Qibi" on an
android device, it is listed for 1-click download there inside the
app's translations list.

I'm forwarding all of this to Yuku also, the man behind QuickBible.

Yuku, please feel free to include the YES on your repository.

And, to all of you: I tested this on my cellphone and looks like it's
working. Please let me know if you spot any errors.

best

This is extraordinarily kind of you. Thank you very much for also sharing the resources to accomplish this. I will be attempting to get familiar with the conversion process. Thank you!!!! 😃

I too would like to add the ORIGINAL 1611 version of the KJ.  However what is menioned here is the PCE "Pure" Cambridge Edition of 1769.

On he same site there is a pdf reprint of the 1611.  How much effort would it take to create a .yes or a pdb from that 148mb file?

On he same site there is a pdf reprint of the 1611.  The pdf does not contain selectable text so it would not be good candidate for a .yes or .pdb (in my estimation), but this gives a view of what the original text looks like.
