Does Bibledit have a "concordance" function?

Now that I'm able to post here again, here's a question: can Bibledit generate a "concordance", i.e. a wordlist built from a usfm bible file? 

I've been using Matt Postiff's "desktop" version of Bibledit (www.fbcaa.org), which can generate a concordance, but I haven't been able to find that function in Teus's Github version.  

A concordance function is an essential tool for language analysis (finding usage examples of any word) and to make the wordlist for beginning a biblical dictionary.

Hello Ian,

Nope, Bibledit does not have such a function. It tries to focus on the main task of translating, leaving such tools to other to build.

Does anyone know whether SIL International has something that can produce a concordance?

Besides the tool in Bibledit Desktop from Matt there should also be something in Paratext - but others may know more about it.

Thanks Teus. That's alright. Incidentally, in defence of a concordance function within Bibledit, I've found it (in BE Desktop) useful in weeding out typos and variant vernacular spellings of biblical proper names and place names; but unlike 3rd party concordance apps that run separately, you can jump directly to the verses that instance the lexeme in question.

Hello Ian,

If a reason for having a concordance function in Bibledit is checking translation consistency, then the good news is that Bibledit has a Consistency tool for that.

It is possible to use the Search function in Bibledit, searching for a Strong's number, and then paste the resulting passages into the Consistency tool, and then adding a few translations  of the word to check on, and then it's easier to check the consistency of the translation.
