New to Bibledit - help in cloud installation

Hi all,

I'm new to Bibledit.

My goal: Start a small community translation of a fresh Icelandic translation.

Reason: Our young adults struggle to understand our outdated current versions.

My key goals with the software are:
1. I'd like to have a small translation team that can collaborate on the translation online.

2. Invite another group of people to make remarks about the text online.

It seems Bibledit is good at this.

I need help with installing Bibledit on ramnode. I've bought access, but would appreciate help setting up the RamNode VM and Bibledit cloud.

I'm a sotware enginner, fairly technically savy, but I've never used RamNode or really used Linux.

Hi. I don't know Iceland language, 

but, perhaps, I can help with GNU/Linux, Emacs, (N)vim, Greek, and Hebrew... 

As an aside, when you install GNU/Linux, install Debian distro.

It will make things easier for you when managing packages...

Hi Ágúst,

I am happy to see you starting this project. I could add your project to my existing Bibledit-cloud instance if you like. Or for more control, you can use your RamNode VM. The setup instructions at https://bibledit.org:8091/help/installcloudpackages assume shell (SSH) access. For general Linux installation instructions, there is lots of help online.

Michael,

Joining your cloud would be helpful. This project will start small and slow. I guess I can always move to a dedicated server if the need arises.

I don't expect to need much control at the beginning. 

I do know that as I (and hopefully a small team) translate, we will want to keep track of translation notes and commentary notes. Those are the two key needs I know of now. Other needs may come up as we progress. Hopefully Bibledit will tackle things well.

The name may change, but let's call this The 316 Bible for now.
