Hope everyone was able to participate on Ashe Wednesday. Thanks to those supported the Mission Trip Fundraiser on Fat Tuesday (Pancakes cooked by the Youth) – heard it raised @ $800.
Separately, I have a conflict this Wednesday so probably will not make it so carry on
Just a reminder that we will be meeting Wednesday night at 6:45 pm (same place – Inquirer’s Room next to the library).
For Wednesday (2/29) we plan to discuss Genesis Chapters 34 – 40 and look at Character Studies to better understand how we can relate to this message.
The rape of Dinah and resulting revenge massacre sets the stage for Jacob to get a new name and a new homestead – and a new set of enemies.
(Does this relate/ have similarities to the Seven Day war?)
Joseph gets a new coat and a vacation trip to Egypt. Meanwhile, who is busy keeping the blood line of Christ going?
See the link below for informative Character Studies or search for other perspectives!
Genesis has four (4) sections/ movements:
Primordial History – Chap 1-11: Creation all the way through Noah
Abraham Cycle – 12.1-25.18
Jacob Cycle – 25.19 – 36.43
Joseph and his brothers – 37.1 - 50
Attached is a link to a Genesis Character Study from Centervilleroad.com by Gene Taylor that looks at 13 major figures.

FYI -
1) John, Peter, Bob, George, Rod, Jerry and I had a lot of fun discussing linkages to the rest of the Bible – hope you can join us next Wed!
Thanks for all you do!
