They may still teach the Word, I don't know.  But there have been changes.

Amen. :) I have a nice leather-bound Companion Bible, and a backup hardback copy.  Biblesoft is

nice, but expensive... e-sword is a pretty good free Bible program for PC.

Leisa - how has seed planting gone for you? My dad actually introduced me to Shepherd's chapel and I recently introduced the chapel to my boyfriend, so we study together. I would like to study with him ALL the time, but I don't want to cram anything down his throat. Baby steps..... I've been a student for 10 years. I've mentioned the chapel here and there to people, but Lord only knows if it's taken root or not or will in the future. I can understand that you want people who are physically present to study and have conversation with. All I can suggest is keep asking God for the local companionship! Did you belong to a church before you started studying with the chapel?

Leisa,  Hello and welcome.  Once again, my heart is humbled and smiling to meet another one of God's elect :D  I have been studying with The Shepherd's Chapel since about 1990 but really digging my heals in the last couple of years even more so lately.  I was raised Catholic, baptized church of Christ with my best friends church...only because I was told by the preacher that I was going to go to hell because I was not truly baptized...being scared, I got baptized church of Christ.  That church didn't survive its controversies and closed its doors.  I had a hard time sleeping most nights and found myself channel surfing...I kept running into Pastor Arnold.  I thought "This man is sooo different...He was to the point and told everything with conviction and read from the bible (which until then I hadn't even known what a Bible was).  Long story short, That was God reaching out!!! Like Pastor Arnold always said, you knew from when you were a child that there was more to God's word...that was me..and ALWAYS sticking up for people and almost getting in fights for doing so, but that was me.  Our Father is sooo AWESOME!!!  I introduced my husband and my Mother-in-law to The Shepherd's Chapel and also our 3 children...who are now 27, 20 and 15.  Like you, my immediate family members are the only ones I can talk to about what God's word truly says.  My 2 daughters watch Pastor Murray on a daily basis, my husband every now and then and my son, only when he comes downstairs to eat :D  My mother is Hard Core Catholic and so is the rest of my side of the family.  I have tried to plant seeds, but it falls on deaf ears so I stopped, not wanting to cast my pearls before swine.  There are friends that I have shared God's word, also random people I was lead to share whatever He gave me at that time.  I also have a huge appetite!!! I'm sure as the time draws near, we (God's elect) will come together and fulfill what we were meant to.  I'm sooo glad to have met you :D  I am also glad that there are more of God's elect coming together :D  I stay pretty busy but do enjoy getting to know my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ :D  May you have a very blessed day and can't wait to talk to you soon :D
