Coast

MORE heavy rain has sparked a warning from the State Emergency
Service of possible flooding on the NSW central coast.
An average of 100 millimetres of rain was dumped on the region in
the 12 hours to 6pm (AEST) today, the SES says.
And more of the same is forecast over the next couple of days.
The Bureau of Meteorology says persistent rain around Toukley and
Long Jetty could cause minor flooding in Tuggerah Lake by late on
Monday morning, inundating surrounding low-lying residential
areas.
Affected suburbs could include Berkeley Vale, Chittaway Point,
Budgewoi, Buff Point, Lake Haven, The Entrance North and Toukley.
All residents of low lying areas around Tuggerah Lake are advised
to monitor the situation closely.
Farmers are advised to remove livestock, pumps and other equipment
to higher ground.
This afternoon, the Bureau of Metrology issued a severe weather
warning for the northern tablelands, northern rivers and mid north
coast, with heavy rainfall expected to develop by Monday
afternoon.
In an emergency, the SES can be contacted on 132 500.
