Couple are killed by lawn mower*

An elderly couple were found dead in their garden yesterday after
suffering suspected heart attacks which may have been caused by their
lawn mower electrocuting them.
Albert Banks, 87, a retired businessman, collapsed when he accidentally
ran over the power cable on his electric mower while cutting the wet
grass at their bungalow.
His wife Beatrice, also 87, went to help him but was also electrocuted
instantly when she touched him.
Neighbours were yesterday stunned at the tragic death of the devoted
couple in a suburb of Cardiff.
A next-door neighbour, Sean Condon, said: "It is too sad for words. They
were lovely neighbours and always together - they loved doing the garden
together. Whenever the sun was shining they would be out there making
sure the garden looked lovely."
When police arrived the power was still turned on at the lawn mower -
and emergency services had to cut the electricity off before trying to
resuscitate the couple.
