New series of earthquakes hits California border region, including a 4.2 magnitude temblor

Another series of small earthquakes occurred on the California border over the last 12 hours, the largest of which measured 4.2 magnitude.
That quake occurred around 11 p.m. Friday near the Imperial County town of Ocotillo.
It was followed by several quakes in the 3-magnitude range and some smaller temblors.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
There have been thousands of small quakes in this area since the 7.2 Easter Sunday temblor that stuck Mexicali.
That quake caused about $100 million in damage in California alone.
The quakes that have followed are believed to be aftershocks.
