Four earthquakes hit the Bay Area Saturday night and this morning. No
damages or injuries were reported.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 struck 9 miles northwest of the
Pinnacles at 6:06 p.m. Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological
Survey in Menlo Park. The quake occurred a fifth of a mile below the
Earth's surface.
An quake with a magnitude of 1.7, centered two miles north of Diablo in
Contra Costa County and about 6 miles underground, occurred at 10:45
p.m. Saturday.
A 2.0 tremor hit 6 miles north of Milpitas about 4 miles under the
surface at 8:45 a.m. today.
A 1.8 quake occurred 28 miles north of Santa Rosa and about 2 miles
underground at 10:40 a.m. today
