AN EIGHT-year-old boy has died after being accidentally shot by his father, Fox affiliate WITI reports.
Police in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, said Jerome Addison Jr.'s father was removing a rifle from its case about 8:00pm local time Friday when it discharged, hitting the boy in the torso.
The bullet passed through him and struck his 64-year-old grandmother in the arm.
Both were transported to the hospital, but the boy later died. His grandmother was expected to make a full recovery.
Jerome Addison Sr., 26, was taken into police custody. Investigations are continuing.
