Terror attack 'planned on German parliament'

AL-Qaeda and its allies are reportedly planning an attack on the German parliament.
The claim has come from the news magazine Der Spiegel , which quotes police sources saying the attack would involve hostage taking in Berlin's historic Reichstag building.
It said Germany's authorities were informed about the plans in telephone calls from a jihadist abroad.who wants to quit an extremist group.
The government had warned on Wednesday of a heightened threat of Islamist attacks on German territory.
