(CNN) -- A strong earthquake rattled northeastern Japan Thursday,
the Japan Meteorological Agency reported.
The 5.8 magnitude quake was centered about 120 kilometers (75
miles) southeast of Fukushima, the site of last year's historic
9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that triggered a nuclear
meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
"This earthquake poses no tsunami risk," the agency's website
said.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
