Strong Earthquake strikes southern Iran

A 5.8-MAGNITUDE earthquake struck southern Iran today, the US
Geological Survey said.
The quake hit at a depth of 34 km, 234 km from the Iranian port city of
Bandar-e Abbas on the country's southern coast and 313 km north of Abu
Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
