Earthquake jolts lower North Island North Island An earthquake
measuring 5.4 has hit 10kms north west of Masterton this afternoon

WeatherWatch.co.nz. GeoNet confirmed the quake as being 30kms
deep and felt widely across the lower North Island. GeoNet says minor
damage is possible around central Wairarapa. "Talk about good
earthquake weather - just had a good shake 5.4 near Masterton"
