A BRITISH honeymooner was killed today in a suspected shark attack while on his honeymoon in the Seychelles.
The UK's Foreign Office confirmed the death of a Briton on the islands, situated to the east of mainland Africa, in the Indian Ocean.
He was named in The Daily Telegraph newspaper as 30-year-old Ian Redmond.
"We are providing consular assistance to the next of kin," said a Foreign Office spokesman.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently had their honeymoon on the same islands, where officials say shark attacks are very rare.
