Earthquake Hits Kyushu, Japan

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted Kyushu,
Japan at 12:36 p.m. local time, the U. S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 8.40 km, was initially determined
to be at 31.7687 degrees north latitude and 131.5945 degrees east
longitude.
There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage
