The Biblical Worldview Summit is designed for young people who want to change their world - by applying the Lordship of Christ to every area of life.

·         The BWS practically prepares young people to deal with the issues, temptations and pressures of high school and university.

Summit Ministries focuses on life-changing ideas. Everyone has a “worldview”, a way of interpreting everything that happens in the world. The Bible has an explanation for the universe, but so do Secular Humanism, Evolutionism and the New Age Movement. Each of these worldviews is founded on ideas. Ideas have far reaching consequences.

 

We see much of the world becoming worse because the Church is not practically involved. We need to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We need to show the world that the Christian Faith makes a positive difference in every area of life.

 

It is time to reclaim our Christian heritage and to demonstrate to the world that the Bible has the best answers to society's most pressing problems.

 

To do this, we need to understand the times in which we live and learn to effectively defend and clearly communicate the Gospel to a needy world.

Outdoor Activities and Sports

There will be opportunities for obstacle courses, team building exercises, rock climbing, fuffi-slide rides, soccer and swimming. We also plan to put feet to our faith with outreaches in the area. 

 

Summit Ministries was founded in Colorado by Dr. David Noebel (author of “Mind Siege”, “The Battle for Truth” and “Understanding the Times”) in 1962. The Summit is geared especially for senior high school students and university students. 

 

Summit helps families realise their God-given potential to take positive action to change their world for Christ. This is accomplished through a unique programme of: guest lecturers, international speakers, authors and key leaders in their fields, special video presentations from all over the world, discussion groups, practicals, outreaches, outdoor activities, projects and interaction with others determined to make an impact on the world for Christ. Detailed manuals, textbooks and lecture notes are provided as part of the course.

International speakers at the Biblical Worldview Summit 2012 Vereeniging:

 

·         Dr. Peter Hammond – Pioneer missionary to Mozambique and Sudan, Founder and Director of Frontline Fellowship. Author of numerous books, including “The Greatest Century of Missions”, “Faith Under Fire in Sudan”, “Putting Feet to Your Faith”, “Biblical Principles for Africa”, "Discipleship Handbook" and "Answering Skeptics".

·         Dr Philip Stott - Creation Scientist, Engineer, international speaker and author of "Another World".

Venue

JC Seals Adventure Centre is located alongside the Klip River in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

 

Cost

The cost per person: R1200 - This includes accommodation, activities, meals, textbooks, manual and data DVD. The cut-off date for payment and registration is 21 March 2012. Space is limited. Please book early. Confirmation of booking can only be given once payment is received. The camp is only open to South African residents or South African citizens in other countries.

 

The Summit is primarily aimed at young people (ages 15-25) but adventurous adults are also welcome.

 

Day visitors may attend for free but no meals can be provided for day visitors. Should you wish to participate in the rock-climbing, the cost is R30 per day.

 

If you live nearby, or plan to bring your own caravan or tent, the cost for the camp, including all meals, will be R900 per person.
