Hello all BibApp users,
I have taken the liberty of spearheading a
BibApp Users Group (
bibap...@googlegroups.com), which I hope anyone using or interested in using BibApp
will consider joining. The current Google group tends to discuss development
aspects of BibApp, whereas the Users Group will focus more on,
obviously, the user experience.
In addition to creating and populating profiles, the Users Group will discuss and document ways BibApp may be fine tuned to
address current challenges with and features desired in the software, among other topics. It is anticipated the Users Group will work closely with BibApp developers to address or implement some of the ideas expressed. Having said that, I'm not sure what the long-term plan is for sustainability of BibApp at the UofI.
Please
join those of us who are going to ACRL in Indianapolis next week for an
initial f2f gathering. We will be meeting at
Tastings, a wine bar near
the Convention Center, on Wednesday, April 10, at 6:30. We can't reserve a
table but just ask the hostess where we're sitting. She will have my
name (Claudia Holland). To date, I have 7 or 8 people who may come. Feel free to forward this invitation to anyone else you know who's using BibApp and might be interested in participating, even if they aren't going to ACRL.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you on BibApp! Please let me know if you have any questions about next week's gathering.
Best,
Claudia Holland
