Presumably, you have scheduled it to run on a weekly basis? I see others have had this problem -Installed-Lenovo-Software/vantage-auto-updates-are-not-updating/m-p... Opens a new windowand on that post it ended with the instruction "Go to scheduler task manager, and Select the task "LenovoSystemUpdatePlugin_WeeklyTask" under \Lenovo\ImController\Plugins" to which there was no response but it gives you a starting point to for the work.
I would like to show the date on my windows taskbar. I would also like to keep small icons. I had a think about how to solve this and noticed the new(ish) 'toolbar' featuer in windows 10. Lenovo porducts have a 'lenovo vantage' toolbar that shows the battery percentage and opens a menu when you click it so it is presumably possible to make something like this.
