Background info:
Setup: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+, Leica Disto S910, Leica DISTO Plan app, AutoCAD mobile app.
Attempting to utilize the disto for templating countertops, then tweak in AutoCAD while out in the field and send back to the office to be cut using Alphacam.
I am able to bring a dxf created with the disto app into AutoCAD, but it comes in as view-only and i am unable to tweak it or re-save it at all. The disto app is very basic and i dont believe I'm able to save/export the dxf any other way to make it more compatible in the AutoCAD app. Is there a way i can achieve this in the AutoCAD app, or is it just not going to happen?
I'm a college Student and am currently working on a Project wird AutoCAD mobile. I've heard a lot about the GPS/set Location Feature but can't find it on the interface of my AutoCAD mobile. As i'm a Student i downloaded the free Student Version of AutoCAD 2019 but this should, in my opion, not influence the Interface of my mobile App right? Or is there a current Problem with the GPS Feature? Because the latest comment on the app on the appstore says that the gps function disappeared after the latest update.
I'm using the mobile App on my iPad and cannot find the "Set Location" tool in my Toolbox. I watched several Videos of other People using it where the Icon is located just on the right side of "Dimensions" in the Toolbox on the mobile app. This Icon just isn't there for me. Has it been removed from the app or is there any other reason why my app doens't know this Feature? As I said, i'm a Student and am using the Student Version, so this might be the issue compared to other People who actually bought the app.
I also tried to log into another iPad with my autodesk account and the same Problem occured. so i guess it really is a Problem with the license and that the gps Feature is only available on the fullversion and not the studentversion
Hello, I have the same problem with the same iPad and the same version. Nor does it show the offset or extend function. I just wanted to know if the student version doesn't have these tools. Thank you
Anyone with the link can access the drawing in the a web browser or in the mobile app. The link expires seven days after it's created. You can choose between two permission levels for recipients: View only and Edit and save a copy.
Both apps allow users to view, edit, share, and create 2D CAD drawings. AutoCAD web app is accessed entirely online in a web browser on any computer. AutoCAD mobile app is included with AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT and provides similar features on iPhone and Android devices.
For stakeholders who only need file-viewing access, we offer free viewers without a subscription. If you're transitioning to named user, be sure to take advantage of the trade-in offers available to you.
The field of architecture has experienced multiple transformative shifts due to technological progress in recent years. Innovative hardware technologies have revolutionized the way architects work worldwide. Examples include touch-screen drafting boards and 3D printing, among others.
Moreover, software solutions have played a pivotal role in reshaping the industry. AutoCAD, introduced in 1982 for microcomputers, is often considered the flagship software of the architectural revolution. AutoCAD revolutionized the market by introducing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to the industry, creating a new market for highly complex and efficient architectural software.
The rise of smartphones and other smart devices has also significantly changed how architects engage with their projects. These devices offer enhanced versatility, efficiency, and other advantages. The market for smartphone architecture apps encompasses a vast and diverse range of solutions, catering to various needs, from on-the-go sketching and basic design to viewing and commenting on complex BIM models and much more.
While it is true that we referred to the architecture app market as a unified entity, it is important to address a significant factor. Two major smartphone operating systems exist, namely iOS and Android. Many architecture software companies provide mobile apps for both platforms, but there are cases where an app is exclusive to only one of these platforms. Determining the platform compatibility of each solution can be challenging and time-consuming.
Therefore, we have compiled a list of the 15 best architecture apps that offer an Android version. We begin with the widely recognized and ever-present AutoCAD mobile app. This curated list aims to assist users in seeking architecture apps specifically compatible with Android devices.
