Subject: Saturday March 30 fundraising workshop.

Dear Friends:

This is very short notice, but I want to invite you to participate in a training workshop/discussion about fundraising for community festivals for refugee communities on Saturday, March 30.

 The United Sudan and Southern Sudan Community Association (USASSCA) is planning a cultural festival for this summer.  They asked me to give a workshop on different ways to help finance the festival.   As members of the Refugee Family Services / Refugees Organizing in Action Collaborative, they decided to open the workshop up to other Refugee organizations as well.  We invite other members of the ROA to come discuss, share ideas and to learn how to fundraise for a community festival.     

I will be providing training and facilitating the workshop and discussion.  Sign in and registration will begin at 10:30 AM. The workshop will begin at 11 AM on Saturday, March 30.  

The workshop is downstairs at the St. Michael & All Angels Church, 6740 James B Rivers Memorial Dr., Stone Mountain,  30083.   

USASSCA will provide a home cooked lunch at noon.   There is a $7 fee to pay for the lunch.  The workshop will end around 1:30 PM.  

Please email me quickly if you want to attend. USASSCA needs to plan for how many lunches to prepare.  

I hope many groups can send a couple people to join in this workshop.  Feel free to forward this announcement to others, if they would be interested.
