I talked with Ram bhai exploring to seek the support of Bhutanese Artist of Georgia to support at least one Bhutanese arts to acquire musical/vocal or lyrical talent in Nepal.
Since its establishment in 2010, the Punya Foundation is actively working to help poor, victimised, vulnerable and deserving children with their education. We are also working with empowerment programs targeting women victims of sexual and gender based violence. Besides promoting our culture and literature, the Punya Foundation also extends its helping hand to deserving people during disasters.
There are highly talented artist children in the refugee camps in Nepal. I personally feel that we should be helping to exploit and promote their talents. Unfortunately, the Punya Foundation has not been able to do this owing to the financial constraints and also lack of capacity in artistic avenues. Therefore, on behalf of the Foundation, I would like to request your extraordinary team to explore the possibilities to support at least one Bhutanese artist. The Foundation would like to work in partnership to implement this project in combination with our academic scholarship programs.
As discussed with Ram bhai, I hope and I would like to request you to raise this issue during the up coming program of Bhutanese Artist of Georgia. Let us work together and let us help at least one artist each year.
In anticipation of your positive response
Thanking you in advance,
Lakshmi Prasad Dhakal
