Subject: RE: Book performance for Peace Corps' Award Program| 5/15th
Hi Ram|
As we draw closer to the date of the event I wanted to pin down a few details. We would like to know what your show will consist of? We looked online at BAG and would like to have the kids dancing as part of the show. Is that something you were considering?
We’d also like to know if there is a booking form or so that we’d need to fill out prior to? We will be making the decision next week with the performances we’d like to select for the event.
Thank you,
Dwan Adams

Hi Adams,
We are writing to notify you of our decision to accept your offer to take part in your program.
We are very pleased to accept your offer as it is the kind of program we are looking for. Bhutanese Community Association of Georgia dbs as Bhutanese Artists of Georgia is a non-profit organization, serving the community since 2009. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to get our community children and youth in constructive and creative work. In these circumstances we are not in the position to demand any amount as a charge against the performances.
Thank you once again for offering us this wonderful opportunity,
And let us know if we can do anything in advance of our start date.
We look forward to attending this program and we are excited by the opportunity that await.
Thanking You
Sincerely Yours
Ram Gurung

Hi Ram Gurung
I’m writing to ask if you would consider putting together a short (15 min) performance Wednesday, May 15th (4-4:30P) and how much would you charge? Please give me a call as soon as possible to discuss. 404.562.3470
I’m in charge of the entertainment portion of Peace Corps’ largest event in the U.S. It will be hosted by the Carter Center and several people will be there including President Carter, Mayor Reed, Peace Corps Director and other noted political officials and local celebrities.
We are expecting about 400 people and the focus of the event is to promote world peace and friendship and what Peace Corps is doing around the world. I think it would be a great opportunity for BAG and I would like to add your group to the list of possible performers. Please let me know if you think this would be possible and I’d also like to get your quote.
In the past we’ve had groups like Ballethnic, Bhutanese Children’s Choir, Burundi Drummers Corps, so as you can see we are always trying to identify rich cultural performances. Please let me know if the group would be available and we can talk more about details.
Event info|
The award was established in 1986 in Atlanta as a biennial event. It is the largest domestic Peace Corps commemoration and attracts a diverse audience of over 400 participants from around the United States. Hosted by the Carter Center, the 2013 event is scheduled for May 15th, and will emphasize the extraordinary impact age 50+ Peace Corps Volunteers have made around the globe since 1961. In addition to acknowledging Miss Lillian and the 2013 award recipient, President Carter will commemorate the over 210,000 American citizens who have dedicated themselves since 1961 to promoting the organization’s mission of world peace and friendship.
