to Bethpage High School Class of 1965
Based on the diligent work by Gail Friedman, Claire Reichert, Judy
Spector, Lynne Spector, Ruth Tate and others, it looks like we have an
excellent shot at 125 or more attendees for our 45th, to be held in
conjunction with the classes of 1966-1968. We have managed to contact
over one third of the class, and have reached some people for the
first time since 1965, for example Dottie Sullivan, Sue Pace, Judy
Gross, George Ray, Bill Macholz and Joe Baldwin. Efforts to reach
EVERY living classmate continue. Any and all help will be greatly
appreciated.

Since I last wrote to many of you, we have been informed that Fred
Candiotte, husband of Gail Burn, died last year. Tom Bove lost his
wife in December, and that gentle giant Ron Passamano passed away from
cancer almost ten years ago. We have now lost 28 classmates. Richie
Fuchs is coping well with his cancer treatments. Jim Duncan this
morning told me that it is "too early to tell" if he will be able to
make it in October. Michael Sofia is handling hiseye problems in a
very stoic manner.

Please recall that our goal is to send deposits to Gene Dilorenzo by
March 31st, so if you have not already done so, please join me today
in putting the check in the mail. There is already ample cash on hand
to make a required June deposit for the Marriott. Anyone who needs the
details, please refer to the Reunion Newsletter (Fourth Edition) on
this site, or email me at Black...@rochester.rr.com.

Ellens Anderson and Lunden were two of the very first to register.
Shari Lehrer, we look for you from Boston, and Mitch Bronson, remember
to take your golf clubs from Bakersfield. David Catalano,
congratulations on another outstanding United States Open at Bethpage!
Tony Schumacher, take your remnants from Woostock. Bob Selleck and
Jack Scalia have registered from Long Island, so Barbara Pearson and
Suzanne Frost, join the list. With Burt Natkins, Les Spergel, Terry
Feder and Rick Koven, we have enough people for an entire Big Red
table, especially if they all survive Cornell's exciting trip through
the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Betsy Jo Bryan, I would hope to
see you and Marie Britton. Bob Visconti is recovering from a stroke in
Delaware, as is Claire Reichert in the Smithtown area. Angela Marrone
is recuperating from ankle/leg work in Florida, and Joan Eisenhauer
looking to move into a new home in Pennsylvania. While Mike, born
John, Hendrickson seems to be living a tranquil life in Craryville,
NY, David Rosen enjoys his retirement between Connecticut and NYC.

Apologies to anyone on this site not mentioned above. Your turn in the
barrel will come. Remember to mail your checks today. Adopt a
classmate - find someone you have not contacted in decades, it can be
very enjoyable.

Have a great day!
Jack
