Final Semester Grades

Good morning Basha parents and guardians,

I wanted to just touch base regarding grades and final examinations. As you're aware, the grading policy for CUSD is quarter 1 is 40% of the grade, quarter 2 is 40% of the grade, and the final examination is 20% of your child's grade. They've had the review sheet for over a week, and tomorrow in class, I am literally giving them the entire period to study. On Tuesday in class, we will work together on clarifying any issues, information, etc... they need before finals. Finals are Wednesday and Thursday with all grades due on Friday at 10am (for all teachers).

My goal is to send home a progress report for the final quarter 2 grade on Tuesday during class. I will ask that any student with a D or F (heaven forbid) on their Q2 grade has you sign the progress report to confirm you're aware of the grade. If there are discrepancies, the student and I will rectify them before the final. I hope to grade the final as they are submitted to me and your child leaves the classroom with the semester grade.
