Dear AP Parents,
AP testing begins Monday and runs for two weeks both AM and PM (AM students need to be in testing rooms by 7:45am). Below you will find a note to your children ( who I have copied on this email) and Mrs Wattawa, their AP coordinator.
Thank you for supporting the AP program, Basha HS, and your children!

APES---- the following information is from Mrs Wattawa, your AP Coordinator. Read through it carefully. As I said, you may leave backpacks & electronics in my classroom if need be during AP Testing. If you need clarification on anything, please reply to me. If I do not know the answer, I will ask Mrs Wattawa.

Good Morning,
1. Testing environment changes - this year students will not be permitted to enter the test room with any personal items. This includes backpacks, cell phones, purses, duffel bags, steamer trunks, personal valises - you get the idea. Please pass along that if they bring them to the testing room, they will have to be stored outside the room.
2. Assigned Seating and Identification - this year students will be assigned to specific seats and will need to have photo ID when they check in with their proctors. Photo ID include, but are not limited to, current school IDs, Drivers license, learners permits, passport photos, TA badges, work IDs.
3. When do we eat? - Testing generally lasts about 3 hours. Students are permitted to take breaks, as necessary. If students are taking two exams on the same day, it is highly recommended that they bring a lunch to scarf between exams. They will not be able go get something and make it to the next testing time. For those students who are taking only 1 exam, students will be released to C lunch if they are testing in the morning. Students testing in the afternoon should eat prior to checking in at 11:30 for their tests.
4. Testing Schedule - attached for your use. Students check in at the first room listed on the sheet. (Without their personal stuff - see #1). Exceptionally patient guidance counselors and proctors wearing green shirts will be direct them to where they need to go after they check in.
5. Materials - please have them bring 3 #2 pencils, 3 black ink pens, photo id (see #2 above), a calculator if appropriate, and their brain to their exam.
All students should have paid their balances in full prior to taking their exam. They will not be allowed to sit for the exam if the balance is not paid. Elena has an updated list if your student needs to check on their status
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns ~
Mrs Wattawa

"Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school"
-Albert Einstein
"For me the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition and spontaneity, the master of the instant which, in visual terms, questions and decides simultaneously. In order to 'give a meaning”' to the world, one has to feel involved in what one frames through the viewfinder. This attitude requires concentration, discipline of mind, sensitivity, and a sense of geometry. It is by economy of means that one arrives at simplicity of expression."
- Bresson
