Janna Marie Wooten, age 34, a resident of Universal City, Texas went to
be with her Lord on Friday, September 18, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 9, 1981.
She is
preceded in death by her grandparents, John E. Wooten, Sr., Walter
Boyer, Ruth Boyer and her father, John E. Wooten, Jr.
She is
survived by her mother, Sue B. Wooten of Kingsville; sister, Melodie
Allen of San Antonio, Texas; brother, John E. Wooten, III ''Trey''
(Melissa) of Kingsville, Texas; nephew, Jonathan Becker of San Antonio;
nieces, Alexandria and Annabelle Wooten, both of Kingsville;
grandmother, Dorothy Wooten ''Mimi'' of Bryan/College Station; numerous
aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved cat, Benji.
Janna was
raised in Bishop and then Kingsville (Ricardo). She was a beautiful,
sweet, loving, gentle, caring, and giving daughter and sister and a
friend to all. Throughout high school, she played volleyball,
basketball and participated in 4-H raising show rabbits. Janna was very
active in her church and youth group. She was a graduate of Christian
Life Academy. She attended Texas A&M Kingsville and later moved to
San Antonio. She worked as a caregiver/nursing assistant. She enjoyed
decorating and loved cooking. The family appreciates the thoughts,
prayers and support during this time of grief. She will be greatly and
deeply missed.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary
Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, September 24, 2015 at King's Way Family Church, 1727 Senator
Carlos Truan Blvd., Kingsville, with Rev. Edwin Cann officiating. Burial
will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
