Cynthia Suzanne (Cyndee) Remmert, 70, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 in Kerrville, Texas at Hilltop Village Nursing and Rehab where she has been a patient for two and a half years. She was born on August 9, 1951 in Bishop, Texas to Earnest and Caroline Melde Remmert. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bishop. She attended St. Paul Lutheran School through the 8th grade and Bishop High School where she graduated in 1969.

Cyndee graduated from Texas A & I in Kingsville, Texas in 1973 with a degree in Art Education. She also earned a teaching certificate in Art Therapy from the University of Texas where she worked with children with disabilities. Later in her career, she owned two businesses-Shades and Shutters and Cover Source.

She was a proud member and past president of Zeta sorority where she made many life-long friends. During her years in Houston, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved participating in their holiday pageants. Due to dementia, Cyndee retired to live on the Frio River which she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dennis Remmert.

She is survived by her sister, Arnell (Jack) Harlan of Bishop, Texas; brother, Lyndal (Jane) Remmert of Fredericksburg, Texas; and Juli Johnson of Rio Frio, Texas, a long-time friend and business associate; and many other family members and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 17, 2022 St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bishop, Texas. A Christian Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 801 E. Main, Bishop, Texas 78343, the Zeta Tau Alpha Scholarship Foundation 325 P.O. Box 6269 Indianapolis, IN 46209-0606 or the Dementia Society of America- P.O. Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 East Main Street, Alice, Texas.
